If you walk from the cathedral towards the aqueduct, you’ll run into this place. Take your time to look around, you’ll like it. It’s as if you had gotten into a time capsule and were back in time.
One is in a Baroque style and the other is 18th century style. One of the entrances is simple, the other one however, is beautiful. It has two finely carved stone pillars on each side of the door. It was constructed by a religious group named:“The Mercedarios”, which means: "The Merciful" (hence the name). The convent first began to be built in the early 17th century.
