When I was approaching this building, I could not help apprehend the beautiful scenery painted before me, the bell towers, the dome with blue and white mozaics, another dome painted red, and the Spanish adorned grates.
It all came together to form a perfect painting, but it was not a painting but architecture; geometrically filling space to form a balanced beautiful picture. If your in this town, don't miss visiting this structure, it is bound to be make one of the best captures of your digital camera.
This building was built at the end of the 16th century. Its style is Baroque, and the construction was carried out by the friars of the Carmelite Order.
Carmen Temple
During a war in the 19th century, the religious order was forcefully ejected, and the temple was taken over by the political establishment of that day. Afterwhich it became a jail house, and then a cementery. It wasn't until the end of the 20th century that it became an official state cultural center, and has remained as such to this day. Thus today, it houses paintings, art galleries, and cultural expositions, among other things.
