From the outside, it’s a simple looking temple. It’s not one of my favorite temples because its dim lighting and dark colors give out an eerie feeling. However, its plaza and landscape is delightful due to the colorful surrounding homes.
A stone cross can be found in the temples plaza. The plaza bears the same name as the temple, “San Roque.” The International Cervantino Festival has its roots in artistic performances in this plaza as early as 1953.
