If you take one of the alleys that goes from Plaza Allende towards Plaza El Ropero, you’ll come across a well known and beautiful bridge named “El Campanero.” It was built towards the end of the 18th Century and has survived the strong foods that have hit Guanajuato.
It is called bell-ringer bridge because it is said that a bell was rung on the bridge to announce the entrance or exit to the city of a royal carriage.
Theres a nice cafe on top of the bridge
